PIVI’s Work with Georgia
Georgia joined PIVI in 2017. Georgia currently has a small vaccine program for persons with chronic diseases; they plan to expand that platform with the help from their PIVI partnership in 2018, working in partnership with the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC). Georgia is actively conducting disease surveillance among pregnant women to gather evidence with which they can expand their vaccine policy. Georgia has a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to develop vaccine policy development since fall 2016.
