How We Work
PIVI partnerships are tailored to help each country reach its goals. Working with countries’ Ministries of Health, as well as with other technical collaborators, including the WHO, WHO Regional Offices and UNICEF, PIVI supports evidence-based vaccine policy decision making, and the creation and implementation of a multiyear plan.
PIVI works closely through and with partners including the CDC’s Influenza Division and the Global Immunizations Division, who provide technical support to our country partners. In addition, PIVI’s activities complement CDC’s commitment to build global detection and response capacity and to strengthen immunization programs worldwide.
PIVI puts an emphasis on regional collaborations as they help partners work more efficiently, sharing skills and best practices.
This work builds strong and stable vaccine delivery systems to reach people of all ages.
