Jordan

Jordan is in its early stages of PIVI engagement. Prior to joining PIVI, Jordan had consistent reporting of burden of disease information on influenza stratified by deaths, illnesses, and hospitalizations. University researchers conducted a KAP study among adults to understand vaccine acceptance. In 2018, Jordan developed a Pandemic Influenza Preparedness assessment plan, which was helpful to its COVID-19 response especially related to surveillance, laboratory testing, and risk communication. Through the PIVI partnership, Jordan aims to reduce the morbidity and mortality from influenza and improve monitoring of vaccine coverage rates for seasonal influenza.
