A new study, “Building resilient and response-ready influenza vaccination programs for pandemic preparedness: a comparative analysis from five middle-income countries,” was published in BMC Health Services Research.
Examining case studies from Albania, Bolivia, Brazil, South Africa, and Thailand, the research identifies five key drivers of resilient influenza vaccination programs: strong research-to-policy pathways, diversified procurement, healthcare worker engagement, sustained demand generation, and durable delivery infrastructure — offering practical guidance for strengthening pandemic preparedness worldwide.
This study was conducted by Sabin Institute, with support from The Task Force for Global Health.
