Anna (she/her) is an Epidemiologist on the Vaccine Implementation Team in CDC’s Global Influenza Branch. She joined CDC in 2019 as an EIS officer in the Global Immunization Division, Polio Eradication Branch, where she developed a passion for immunization science and policy. After EIS, Anna joined the Influenza Division as an Epidemiologist on the International Epidemiology and Research Team (now the Global Influenza Branch), where she had led projects to establish sentinel influenza surveillance sites, quantify the burden of disease averted through influenza vaccination, and evaluate vaccine effectiveness. She has also supported numerous outbreak/emergency responses as a vaccine technical advisor, including polio, Ebola, COVID-19, and mpox. Anna received her MPH in Global Health and PhD in Environmental Health Sciences from Emory University.
