Arthur is a Professor of Epidemiology and the Head of the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. He has spent the last four decades studying the prevention and control of diverse infectious diseases around the world, including vaccine-preventable diseases, such as influenza. He has served on WHO’s Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on vaccines and on the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the US CDC and HHS.
