KC Sorenson

Program Assistant, Respiratory Virus Prevention and Preparedness Programs at The Task Force for Global Health

Born and raised in Utah, USA, KC studied Biology at the university, which allowed him to engage his passions of systems and being outdoors. He enjoyed a few international experiences during that time as well, including time in France, Switzerland, and Norway. These opportunities broadened his horizons and inspired a curiosity and appreciation for other cultures. Following his degree, KC volunteered as a science teacher with the US Peace Corps in Cameroon (where he also met his spouse). Since then, his professional life has consisted of working with international communities near Atlanta, supporting education and wrap-around family services. In December 2022, KC began working with The Task Force for Global Health as a Program Assistant for the Respiratory Virus Prevention and Preparedness programs, where he’s happy to provide systematic support for the Task Force’s international initiatives.
