The global impact and threat of the COVID-19 pandemic required speed and creativity. CoVIP swiftly mobilized resources and expertise, focusing on urgent vaccine deployment in underserved low- and middle-income countries. The program’s unique approach not only supported countries to respond to COVID-19, it boosted adult vaccination programs through strategic sub-awards and expert technical assistance, delivering insights adaptable to future health crises.

The CoVIP team, made up of technical experts from The Task Force for Global Health, the US CDC, and country-based technical experts – emphasized a strategy of drawing from national and regional experience – promoting country ownership, resilience, and sustainability.
